Still Using Auria?
Still Using Auria?
the traffic on this discussion board is very much reduced, are people still using Auria or have you all moved on? I play in a band and use Auria to record live sound on a regular basis. We use 9 inputs into a Soundcraft UI16 mixer, splitting each input prior to going into the desk to provide 9 inputs to feed our interface. We’re using a Focusrite Saphire pro 40 providing 8 channels using ADAT into an 18i8 and one of the 18i8’s inputs for the last one.(We just added the Saphire and have a minor teething problem where although all 9 input channels are active and showing on Auria, when I hit record it is crashing. When I don’t activate the 9th channel it records the 8 from the Saphire via the 18i8 perfectly. I checked that I was using the clock in the Saphire as a master and sample rate throughout was all the same,48000 so just need to go back into focusrite control to sort it out) Anyway the point is, Auria is still a useful platform for us, I wondered how other people were in a similar situation or had moved on and if they had which is the most popular iOS daw that people are using?
Re: Still Using Auria?
thank you for this description. I like Auria Pro mainly for its video capability, a feature that is unique I think. For work with synths and quick ideas I switched to Cubasis. Automation works well in Cubasis, and it also has the Mackie Protocol like Auria Pro. I have the first iCon motor fader controller, still working. And also AUM is one of the most used apps, for sketches and testing.
The main reason I use Auria Pro only occasionally is that it doesn't fit the iPad Pro screen anymore. For some time it worked, but now it doesn't. It's a problem that has been addressed many times, and it seems that the developer is not using such devices or Auria itself. Which is alright, but I wonder why this forum is still online, and the app still available.
Anyway, I'm glad Auria Pro is still working, and the forum is online.

Re: Still Using Auria?
Interesting that you mention the screen issue, I have a 2020 iPad Pro where I managed to optimise Aura into the boundaries of the screen and a iPad Pro M4 where I don’t have the option to do that.

Re: Still Using Auria?
yes you are right, with my old 2017 iPad Pro, Auria Pro is fullscreen. Just with the new one, M4, it is not.
