Re: iOS11
@Rim one obvious solution that might help alleviate some of the frustrations that users encounter when stuck in a crash loop would be to NOT have the app open the last project by default on launch, but to have the app open to a welcome screen, where you have the option to open a project or start a new one etc...
I know that's not what Apple encourage with iPad apps, and that they are supposed to open in the same state they were closed last, but a complex app like Auria just isn't really meant to run like that. Beatmaker 3 for example, always opens to a welcome screen.
This would meant that if one project gets corrupted beyond repair at least the user can still open the app. Otherwise sometimes the only solution is to delete Auria and reinstall it, which is a lot of hassle.
Dealing with corrupted projects is a different story, it would be nice to have some options here, but that's a whole other can of worms.

Re: iOS11
In this case, the reason it gets stuck in a loop is not as a result of a corrupted project, but an incompatibility with iOS11 (before the project is even loaded). In any case, Auria, like all iOS apps need to follow Apple's design guidelines, and so it needs to open in the previous state it was left in. If this was a desktop app, I'd design it with both options
If there's ever a corrupted project, Auria will present you with an option of either loading the project again, or restoring from a saved snapshot. But unfortunately in this case, it doesn't even get to load the project.
In any case, this iOS11 issue has been fixed in the upcoming update.

Re: iOS11
I have Auria and Auria Pro installed on my iPad Pro 10.5 with IOS 11.0 and can confirm the layout bug for both versions.
Another problem i encountered:
Only Auria Pro is visible in the Files.App. Auria (non Pro) did not add its folder to the Files.App even when loading or saving
projects. Restarting the iPad (as suggested below by Dirge59) did not help.

Re: iOS11
HI -
I’ve just upgraded to the latest version of Auria Pro and I have two comments:
1 Does this look right? There seems to be some space at the bottom of the app which is wasted and I dont remember it being like that before
2 - Nothing seems to have been added to my files app. From the comments on here I presumed I would see an entry for Auria in there...
As a final point - I do think this is a great app. As someone that went from a Fostex 4 track tape machine to a Tascam 8 track hard disk and now an iPad with unlimited (?) tracks that I can carry around with me I’m constantly amazed, impressed and pleased by what the developer has achieved.
Please keep up the fantastic work.

Re: iOS11
You have to restart the machine to see auria in the files app. Deleting and reinstalling does not fix the screwed up screen on the 10.5, so don’t waste your time....
I cannot believe that there was not a 10.5 beta tester.?? This is really a pain as you have to disable cpu meter to add master fx’s.

Re: iOS11
Apparently I had forgotten to enable Files support for Auria and Auria LE. Only Auria Pro had the setting. Really sorry about this. I've made the change for all the versions now and will be uploading a new version today.
The iPad Pro 10.5 graphics issue has also been fixed, thanks for letting me know!

Thanks for being on the ball. I've been holding off until the iOS11 dust settled and the AP update dropped. Looking forward to diving back in.Rim wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2017 8:09 amApparently I had forgotten to enable Files support for Auria and Auria LE. Only Auria Pro had the setting. Re: iOS11
Thanks for the quick fix !
I tried around with the Files.App integration and tried to import new presets for Twin2, the Auria bonus content and a Lyra instrument.
I have these three files imported successfully into Auri Pro on my other iPad on IOS 10.x by placing them into the Auria document folder using iFunbox. On the next start they were picked up and Auria unpacked them and then they could be used in Auria.
Now i tried the same by using the Files.App on IOS 11: The 3 files are listed in the AuriaPro folder (bonus.zip, prests, zif and instrument.zip), but they are not unpacked when i start AuriaPro, change or save the current project. According to the Files.App, they have a current ceation date and time. Restarting the iPad Pro didn‘t help either. Any hint on how to trigger the import ?

Re: iOS11
I'm aware of this limitation and it's something I've notified Apple about. The Files app doesn't properly let an app know when files change, so Auria has no way of knowing to unzip new files. As soon as a fix arrives, it should work properly.
In the mean time, you can always unzip the file outside of Auria and copy all the files.
