FR- loop to selection
Re: FR- loop to selection
Yes, this feature made it into Auria 1.150 a while back.

Excellent, can you please elaborate on how it's done?

@Raven46. To use this feature go to your wave editor and select the region you want to loop by simply tapping once on the region. You will see a blue rim around that region. Now under the EDIT menu select Loop to Selection and the loop will automatically set itself and the play button will now display that it is in Loop play mode. That's it. Cheers and hope this helped..
Re: FR- loop to selection
Thanks for that Anthony. Is it possible to do a more precise loop? What if I'm working on a guitar track/region thats three minutes long. I want to do an edit say at the one minute mark. Can I get the loop to focus between ninety six seconds to one minute and four seconds, without having to chop it into a region?

Re: FR- loop to selection
you sure can Raven46. You will have to set this up manually. So under the Transport Options window set your bars display to show min/sec instead of bars and beats. Now go to your editor window and the blue time line that runs across the top of the first track is where you set this. Just drag your finger along the timeline and the loop selection will show its start and end arrows. Just make sure that the highlighted area is within the time that you want the loop to begin and end. To remove the timeline loop setting just double tap anywhere on the timeline outside of the loop area and the loop setting will go away allowing you to set a different one or simple move the in/out markers by sliding them left or right. Don't forget to turn on Loop Play under your Transport Options Menu. Thats all hope this helps you get your loops figured out. Chees
Re: FR- loop to selection
Perhaps it's a silly question, but I'm new using Auria. I just purchased Multitrack Loops. Can anyone tell me how to use the loops? I see they are seconds long. How do I extend the loops on the timeline so they fit the sound tracks I laid in?

Re: FR- loop to selection
All right, I have done it all to get the percussion loops to work in Auria -- imported the loops, set the "loop" option to "play" in "transport options," set the "loop to selection" option in the "edit" window, seen the blue area selected. Yet, the loops don't stretch even a bit. What am I doing wrong?
Please help!!

Re: FR- loop to selection
Let's start at the beginning @Valhjim. When you imported your first loop (via 'Menu -> Import Audio') did you make sure that 'Auto Time Stretch' was set to YES? That would ensure that the imported loop would occupy a whole bar (at your project's BPM setting).
EDIT: There's some useful info about time stretching and working with loops in the Auria User Guide. Page 71/72, for example.

Re: FR- loop to selection
I have set the auto time stretch to "yes," but the tracks do not stretch, though I set the "loop to selection." I have stretched the loop track but as I stretch it, all the other tracks stretch too, and it's really no use.

'Auto Time Stretch' is about automatically adjusting loops at the time they're imported only. The MoReVoX loops are one bar long so, if you import one with Auto Time Stretch on, it will be time adjusted to occupy one bar within your project (according to the BPM and time signature of your project).
Once you've imported a loop, you can use 'Autonatic Region Duplication' (pg. 62 of the user guide) to repeat that loop for as many bars as you need. it's up to you to decide whether to:
A) import (with auto time stretch) all the different loops you need for your track as one step and then copy and move them into order, duplicating as appropriate
or
B) to import, place and duplicate them, one at at a time, as required.
It's also possible to time stretch an audio region 'manually'. That's the pg 71/72 of the user guide that I referred to in my previous post.
You imply that your loops aren't auto stretching on import, even with 'Auto Time Stretch' = Yes. I have the MoReVoX loops too so, if you name a particular loop and state a BPM and time signature, I'll test it for you. You never know, there could be a problem with those loops that I've not stumbled across uet

Re: FR- loop to selection
P.S. 'Loop to Selection' relates to playback looping . Page 111 of the user guide says, "Loop to Selection – When a region is selected tap this command to automatically set the Locators to match the region’s beginning and end times; it will also enable Loop playback". It has nothing to do with time stretch.Valhjim wrote:...but the tracks do not stretch, though I set the "loop to selection."
Re: FR- loop to selection
Gee, I still can't get the loops to loop or to stretch automatically. So, what I'll do is simply to copy-paste as many as I need, though when I bought the packet I thought it would be as good as if I had a drummer to record with. Disappointing though. Not buying Volume 2.
