Your Favourite Auria Feature..Join in for the fun of it
My fav is Auria's VU metering. I swear there isn't even a desktop daw that I've ever used that had such smooth meters. The first time I saw Auria's meters flowing to the beat of my tracks and dancing in real time so smoothly that I really felt for a moment that I was looking at a pro mixer. I wasn't wrong and I still love just looking at all those track meters just dancing away in such precision. With almost half the screen dedicated to the VU meter there is no wonder it is such a centerpiece of Auria's look. Thank you Rim for this amazing real time experience. Now who's next. Cheers.

mmmh,good question.
Probably the"join"featue. It saves me a LOT of time before i start arranging my songs because usually i'm doing a lot of edits in the...well...edit screen
I just wish the freeze function would be comparable easy to use.Like in cubasis where it creates a new audiotrack with the bounced file right below the original track. With just one click

Possibly time stretch. Automation comes in at a close second though.

I would have to say the ability to reuse effects along with the quality of effects available is my favorite feature.....until Pro gets here!

Plug-ins. The abillity to use third party ones, and IAA ones.
And 2nd time stretch.
I think automation would top my list if I got better at using it.

Coming from a background (many, many years ago) of FOH mixing and studio engineering, I'm simply amazed and delighted to have such a comprehensive and sonically rich virtual studio I can tuck under my arm. Specific features beyond that are simply icing!

When I read the thread title, the first thing that sprung to mind is the Plug-ins ability. Not sure if they count really ,but they turn me on..
I may add a few more features later, But I can't promise to stick to only one

Me too. In fact, I took a break from drumming in the early 90's. When I got back into it, DAWs were popping up with plug ins and that was pretty amazing, but then I found convolution reverbs. That blew my mind that I could have the acoustic properties of a church in Rome put on the track with acoustic guitar. I love that Auria has it, but the interface for the convo is very different from the one in Reaper which is what I cut my IR teeth on.sch wrote:Coming from a background (many, many years ago) of FOH mixing and studio engineering, I'm simply amazed and delighted to have such a comprehensive and sonically rich virtual studio I can tuck under my arm. I love the fact that Auria just seems to be on my brains wavelength
It's just so well balanced and well thought out to me
I just love it and the iaps are the icing on the cake

... it's appealing in it's booklike oldschool appearance, special.

Auria is my first DAW. As Jus says above, Auria's design and layout just makes sense to me, very intuitive.

Plugins with automation and damn good all-round general usability.
Re: Your Favourite Auria Feature..Join in for the fun of it
I forgot about my other favorite thing about auria. The ability to re-record the audio over an imported video file is very cool. Great for doing voice-over and adding sound effects.

For me, it's the way you can work your way in. I started with experience of four tracks back in the day, then GarageBand for iPad. I could start really easily at that level and then build it up bit by bit to more polished final results. Definitely not there yet, but enjoying the journey.
For me this is a hobby on top of a busy life, so the fact it is intuitive and the manual is good means I don't need a 12 week course to get going. Good work, WML.
