hello, can cheap mics ($5-10) be used to record every piece of the drum kit ?
I assume I have to use a better mic for the hi hat, and for other piece, any cheap mic would do. am I wrong?
thanks !
mics question
Re: mics question
Hello,
Thanks for your interest in Drumagog. Yes, even cheap mic's can be used to create triggers for Drumagog. The quality of the microphone is not as important because Drumagog just needs to see the hits in the audio waveform. The real key is to individually mic each drum you wish to replace, and try to eliminate as much bleed as possible (although Drumagog does have many features that can help eliminate bleed).
Cheers,
Jack
