Hey guys!
in drumagog 5, the live triggering mode is much more accurate than the advanced mode. Have any of you experienced this too? If I trigger a snare roll or fast double bass, the advanced mode will simply skip a few transients!! In simple mode it works perfectly..., this would be okay if it were the only problem.
now the problem is that the plugin hoster only works in advanced mode!(?) great...
Is this normal?
I believe the simple mode is more accurate, because its lower resolution (23ms). the advanced mode goes down to 30,4ms and then to AUTO, which doesn't help. I've tried everything, every damn setting (all latency modes in drumagog, thresholds etcetc) and couldn't fix this problem!
here is an example I made:
kick drum trigger signal: http://dargolf.de/fel/kick_trigger.mp3
drumagog in advanced mode: http://dargolf.de/fel/drumagog_advanced.mp3
drumagog in live mode: http://dargolf.de/fel/drumagog_live.mp3
(and I'm using cubase 5)
this should make it more clear:
the sample is simply missing in the advanced mode. The only thing I changed, was to switch from advanced to live mode. I didn't touch the threshold, resolution etc.

Re: drumagog 5 problems in advanced triggering mode
Hello,
First, Plugin Hosting is supposed to work with Live Mode, so that sounds like a bug, and I've forwarded it off to Rim to look at for the next update.
Second, there might be times where Live mode is able to pick up very rapid hits better than Advanced mode. The way Advanced mode works it requires a slightly larger window to analyze the incoming hits, and after checking out your samples (and thanks for including those, examples always help!) that seems to be what's happening.
Most of the time Advanced mode is the better choice, but in these instances it might be better to switch modes (which is one reason we have both options).
