Can't play Voiceband through Ipod touch through comp speaker
Hey everyone I need some help. I have an Ipod Touch 32 gb. I downloaded Voiceband for it and I am using headphones with built in microphone. It works fine but I want the sound to go through my computer speakers also. The way I am trying to make it work right now is using a splitter plugged into the headphone jack of the touch. then plugging 3.5 mm jack to 3.5 mm jack into the computer microphone input. and on the other splitter output i plugged the headphones with the mic built in. To me it sounds like everything should work that way, but for some reason it does not. Any suggestions? Thanks

The only way I know of to make this work is using an iPhone guitar cable, like this one:

then, plugging the 1/4 guitar cord into a mixer and a microphone into the mixer.
The reason your setup won't work is because you need a 4 pin jack (the mic is connected to the 4th pin). A 3-pin adapter won't route the mic anywhere...
