I am running an old version of Cool Edit Pro that does not support VST plugins (such as Drumagog) but have been able to use it anyway by using this wrapper program.

Acon EffectsChainer allows you to convert VST plug-ins to DirectX or DirectX to VST. Seems to be working fine for anyone having the same problem that I did.
Drumagog does not recogise this product or endorse it in anyway, but it has worked fine for me (so far lol!)
