Plugin hosting

Post by copycat »

i thought I had solved the problem, but again I can't load the plugins in drumagog 64 bit,
And I' m afraid that it never will be resolved. 32 bit worked fine for me, but now I'm only
Working in 64 bit.

copycat,
What is happening when you are trying to load a plug-in into Drumagog 5?
Are you getting any error messages?
What DAW are you working in?
Are you on a Mac or PC?
What version OS are you running?

What does the error message say?
Are all the plug-ins you are trying to load into Drumagog5 64bit as well? They won't load if they are 32bit plug-ins.

Error message: a serious problem has occured. Send the crash dump to steinberg technical support.
And yes, they are all 64 bit,
But with the startup of drumagog I get this message already

This happens when I start up a song with variues tracks when I start up from scratch drumagog loads fine.

This could be a memory issue, perhaps?
I know I can load up a 64-bit BFD3 in the 64-bit Drumagog 5 with no issues (see screenshot) however it seems impossible to load up Slate Drums 4 - I get an error message telling me it is not a virtual instrument. Very weird.

There is a bug we are aware of that is specifically effecting 64bit plug-in hosting on PCs. Slate Drums 4 and Addictive Drums 2 fall under this bug, that we are currently aware of. We are working on a fix and hope to have a patch released soon.

Hi Corey

It also affects Steinberg's Groove Agent 4 then - same error message (not a VST Instrument)
Just for information really - good to know a fix is in the works

Using Cubase 7 under Windows 7 I cannot load 64 bit Drumagog 5 Pro since installing Groove Agent 4. This bug is now 7 months old. This is annoying - ss there still not a fix?

I am also having serious issues with D5 these days - it is a toss-up if it will initialize or not, and once I have it on a track the whole project becomes unstable.
Is this a Steinberg issue or a Drumagog issue please?
