Noob here.
Are the samples in my download area the same samples that were installed on my just purchased DVD (with the exception of the 2011 additions)?
IOW to be 'complete' do I need to download all of these zip files or just the 2011 files?

Everything up to the 2011 files should be included on your disk, so there should be no reason to download the earlier files.
