Dumagog tutorial video

Post by danshousestudio »

I just did a short video tutorial on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/user/danshouse)

It shows how to extract decent sampling trigger signals for separate drums from a drum track that's either already mixed, or just recorded live onto a single track.

In this case, I had a lo-fi hardcore drum track that I needed more control over, so I used eq & dynamic controls to coax out the predominant frequencies from both the kick and snare in the mix, and send those filtered signals through two separate instances of Drumagog.

(I didn't use the new filtering options on Drumagog 5 - instead, I opted for separate eq & dynamic control plugins to shapre the sound before going into Drumagog.)

Worked great!

Just edited a new version of this video - http://www.youtube.com/user/danshouse - I think it's clearer.

If you watch, leave me feedback at my YouTube page!
