Advanced Triggering... how do I use this?

Post by jasonfarris »

OK, so I'm new, I am using the Drumagog5 demo and I'm thinking about buying.

But one thing I can not understand, is what the right way to use the Advanced Triggering is? It obviously creates a more dynamic performance, but even 40ms latency is significant enough to be audible, especially when the original instruments being replaced can still be heard through the other room mics. What's the use of the having better sounds if they are always 40-80ms late?

Is there some way that my host app can "know" that drumagog is late and delay the other tracks so it's back to being in time again? Is advanced mode only for rendering the audio? Is the latency still present in rendering?

I'm loving it so far but I'm only using it in Live Mode because I can't figure out how to use advanced mode without hearing a noticable delay in the performance. Obviously, I'm missing something here. Help!

Nevermind! The problem fixed itself somehow. Now it's all working normally. I wonder why the auto-delay compensation thing didn't work at first?
