Have you lowered the resolution value (the upper right knob) in Drumagog? You may need to put the flams onto their own track and then lower the resolution in a 2nd instance of Drumagog. Find out what the time (in milliseconds) between each hit is. Put this value in the resolution window. Remember, i...

Bertrand, Since you are using Pro Tools, you already have the best tool for quantizing drums (or any audio). It's BeatDetective. Take your multitracked drums and use BeatDetective to quantize. Next, insert an instance of Drumagog for each drum track. I do this all the time and it works flawlessly - ...

Or... Cut the snare track into two separate tracks - one that has the regular snare hits and a second for the sidestick - and insert a Drumagog into each one with the appropriate sound. I'd think this method would be easier to set up & manipulate. It's the one I use. OTHERWISE... unless there is...

Maybe I'm not understanding you post... But, I'm not sure why you would want to write MIDI, quantize that and then trigger BFD. Quantize and edit the audio first, then insert DrumagogBFD to directly play BFD. The delay is negligible or very easily 'nudgeable'. You could also insert more than one Dru...

"Well this points to one thing: the latest Drumagog version is not compatible with these older Cubase versions." Hmm... it seems like I've always had this problem. I got into Drumagog at version 2. As I said, if I REALLY need to play Drumagog from a MIDI track, I have the MIDI coming in f...

I have the same problem if... I run a MIDI track from the same sequencer. I use Cubase 5 (old version). If I have a MIDI track sending MIDI to Drumagog, I get a performance similar to what you are experiencing - skips, inconsistencies. I have no solution. But, if I run the MIDI track from a sequence...

Looks as if you DO have plug-in delay compensation. Maybe review that setting in SONAR. Does the MIDI input have some sort of 'auto quantizing' setting? In other words, does the MIDI get quantized during input? This could be 'forcing' the advance. Just guessing on this one. Try either using a differ...

"+ the notes are recorded to C6, aren't they supposed to be recorded to C4?" That has to do with your DAW setting. Not every DAW is C4=C4. Some are C4=C6. Simply set Drumagog 'down' two octaves. As far as the alignment, it's hard to tell how much the offset is between the audio track and ...

You say '100% Replacement', how are you replacing the hihats?

I've been keeping (trying as much as possible, at least) the original hihat track. Just curious as to how you are handling this.

Are these sample libraries 'dry'?

"I'd prefer the latter to just masking the original track without being able to view the waveform." By using the 'BLEND' knob, on page 1, you can mix the original sound with the replacing sound. Or you can record an adjacent track with just the replaced sound and mix the two tracks later....

In addition to what you did, did you also delete any and all 'Drumagog' file(s) from the 'Receipts' folder, too?

I don't use my Intel Mac for music, but this might work.

Try going to the DOWNLOAD page and download the appropriate demo for your system. It seems like that should work. I'm not familiar with Firestudio but was Drumagog 'installed' along with Firestudio? If so, you may need to uninstall the original Drumagog first before installing the latest demo. I don...
