I don't mean to discourage any adventures into sound... But why do you want a 'stereo' snare? It's basically a mono instrument. Sure you could have a top and bottom sound for more control. I've been spending some time with Drumagog and BFD2. It's working just fine. At this point I'm simply directing a MIDI note over to BFD2 and it seems to work (maybe) better than it did with BFD1. Believe it or not, I'm STILL using Pro Tools 5. Anyways, are you trying to offset MIDI or audio? If it's MIDI, there should be a 'MIDI Offset' window that you can open -- there is in PT5. If you simply want to do a 100% kick replacement, the quality of the mic isn't a real issue. All Drumagog needs to see is an audio input. Try a 57 and observe the result.
