One more thing - make sure you press the "test" button after you choose a scale. This lets you hear the scale being played, so you know what notes to sing.
...also for some people it helps to remove one ear off the headphones, so you can hear yourself.

Re: My vote for separated files and cello
Thanks, I apprecite it! The next update will have additional instruments available for in-app purchase, including a violin and a cello. The pro version will definitely have some of the features you mentioned.

Re: Poor power chord recording
The best thing to do is turn auto pitch on, and choose the appropriate scale. In other words, if the song is in F Major, set it for F Major. This way, the guitar sound won't waver as much.
For example, in the video on youtube, I set it to F minor.
Thanks,
Rim

Currently, Voice Band doesn't have a looping function, but this is something we're looking into for a future version.

Re: Suggestion for Kick/snare
We have studied this and found it to be true. It takes a bit of practice to be able to lay down good tracks, but it's possible. Some tips: 1. Don't sing into the mic. If you're using the iPhone's built-in mic, sing into the SCREEN of the phone (the touchscreen), not the mic. Singing into the screen ...

Re: Email Function not working
I think I know what the problem might be. A 10 minute song is probably around 20MB after converting to an MP3, and 30-40MB after turning it into an email attachment. Usually, you can't e-mail attachments that size, so I'm guessing the error is due to your email provider telling you it's too big. Rim

Re: Email Function not working
It might be that you're running out of space on your iPod? How much free space do you have available? A ten minute song might take about 200MB of space.

Re: Disapoint Custumer too, Have Problems of sound with VB,
There may in fact be performance issues when using Voice Band with a first generation (2G) iPhone. This model has issues which affect the performace on CPU intensive apps like Voice Band. It's best to enable airplane mode, and to reboot the phone before using Voice Band. After rebooting the phone, d...

Re: Voice Band for Mac
A PC/Mac version of Voice Band is definitely in the works, and will have less latency.
The next Voice Band update will have additional instruments. Good idea about the Cello. We'll see what we can do.
THanks,
Rim

Extracting pitch from a human voice is not as easy as it sounds... We are constantly improving the algorithms, so you will definitely see improvements in the accuracy in future updates.

Re: iPod TOuch with Macally Mic & headphones - NG!
Hi Mike,
Yes, you're right. Voice Band is not yet compatible with a separate mic. This is why I state in the description that a headset with a built-in mic is required for an iPod touch (and for original iphones).
Future versions should have support for external mics.
Thanks,
Rim

Re: Email Function not working
Hi, this is a known bug. We'll get this fixed in the next update. It won't let you email after you load a song. Try loading the song you've saved, then pressing record for a second, then stop. Now press email. This might work.
Thanks,
Rim
