Render/process in ProTools

Ive been using Drumagog for ages ... well, many years anyway, but now im new to Pro Tools and i was wondering how to render the Drumagog (or any other effect/plugin) in ProTools. It cant be that you can only use effects in real time ... or can it? I mean PT is a bit ... how do i say it ... old fashi...

Well i would first try to remove as much noice from the track as possible. Copy/paste the track and leave the original as it is. Now use noise gate, EQ or what ever you come up with to remove everything else except the sound you want to trigger. If it is still not good, try to work with small parts ...

Drumagog pans randomly

This happens when i have a stereo file and stereo gog samples. The samples get panned randomly, like if a tom sound is panned on right, it gets panned left and right randomly and i cant find a reason. It somehow reacts on how loud the certain beat is. I will attatch an example here cause i dont know...

I was dissapointed in version 4 too. Why on earth they removed the double click for button positions option? Its almost inpossible to set the buttons with it cause im use to double clicking them :(

Im on version 3 but i think its same in 4 ...
Click on the samples tab the Add from file and browse your sample (s) and then save it as .gog

Hope this was what you meant.

Or you can make copies of the one drum track and try to bring the BD SD etc on top with EQ gate, or what ever, and then replace them.
I just made an example to someone but couldnt find it anymore :cry:

Sorry for late reply.
I thought Beat Detective is used only for timing drums, not slicing them and exoprt them as separate samples.

Oh yes and i dont have Pro Tools :wink:

I was wondering if any of you guys would know a beat slicing tool like the Zero-X BeatSlicer (BeatCreator, what ever its name is) but it would be cool if it would be a freeware :D This BeatCreator cant be the only slicing tool there is, or can it? I couldt find anything except that one ... not freew...

I dont know about the OS, i only know they have ProTools version 7 on.
Will have to wait for the engineer to reply, and then i'm wiser again :)

Can i ask what are your experiences with Drumagog? Is it better than the Sound Replacer?

I just heard that Drumagog is better... or was it more flexible than the Sound Replacer . I only have experience of Drumagog 2-...
