well shoot. I was doing everything right but I hadn't selected the midipipe options in Setup. I'll try that tonight, thanks for the links.

i would like to be able to track the hits of my original acoustic drum track in drumagog, send them to a midi track so i can tinker with the velocity and articulation of each hit and fix any missed or double hits that occurred while tracking in drumagog, THEN route the midi notes back into drumagog ...
