Follow up: I completely tested all my other apps that require a mic and headphone and they are all working as expected with the mic and separate headphones. It appears I HAVE TO have a headphone with a mic, as my Macally mic and separate headphones are not enough to activate Voice band. Will this be updated anytime soon? I bought the app this evening.
