Drum and percussion transients cut off from first beat.

Post by Gemini Knight » Fri Dec 11, 2015 7:10 pm

If I record any type of percussion, and trim to the beginning of the transient, the beginning of the sound is cut off, even though the sound clip shows otherwise. This was happening to me on all of the iPad's that I have owned, even after reinstalling Auria numerous times with all of the iPad's that I had prior to pro. The workaround was to ignore what the sound clip showed and leave some space before the transient. This wouldn't be a big deal to me, but now that I can use drumagog in the midi track and bounce that audio, this does become inconvenient.

This is most likely caused by having Auto Crossfade turned on in the settings (it's on by default). This setting fades in all regions, so if you have something starting immediately at the start of a region, it will be missing its attack.

@Rim: So, is there a way to override the auto-crossfade on individual regions? Or is it an all or nothing affair? :)
