Why so ugly interface?

Hello everyone,

First of all thanks for this awesome application. Awesome features!
I have however two remarks to make:

Why so ugly?

iPads have now Retina displays, so why do we see big ugly pixels everywhere ?

Sorry for digging this theme, but colors, visual hierarchy of your DAW zones, pale creamy background, all this is just not pleasant to look at.
Yet when the light in the studio is dim I must bring the light of the iPad display down otherwise it hurts our eyes.

Very old interface coming from the desktop world. Please! For the next update, leave it, forget it and make something modern. Under the hood Auria has professional features, but the GUI does not reflect that, it looks amateurish.

Have you seen Cubasis? Totally awesome interface well studied for iOS experience. Why not to take an example and go even further and make something better?

Second remark:
Optimization of performance. I have the most recent iPad and this app is not totally fluid.
I can imagine this is not a simple task, you are certainly aware of it, and probably already working on it?

Gawd, it still looks goooooooooooooooooood. Not that it started to "not" look good. But, I still get all giddy looking at it, it is very slick......

I saw nothing here that made me happy about the GUI change. Great performance improvements, but the look is depressing.

I think it looks way better. The only complaints I've read so far that I understand is the fonts vary in size and look for different buttons and it throws the look off a bit, but this is not for the design of the cover of a magazine it's for a DAW.

If that is the biggest complaint about pro then we have a winner of a product.

Visuals can help or hinder the creative process. As a songwriter in the Rock and Jazz-fusion genre I'm not a fan of clod, dark ascetics. But that's just me.

While the midi aspect would be great I should be fine sticking with what will become the old Auria.

I have no idea why the OP is freaking out about the current layout. To my eyes it looks just fine.

The look is definitely sharp and easy on the eyes. I'm chomping at the bit for this upgrade to happen. Just tell me I can change that red color out for a different one in the MIDI editor!

Well then you go look at Fruity Loops or Multitrack DAW and tell us what you think. This new skin is gonna look WAY SEXY on her!

To me, the new color scheme seems great. Really looking forward to MIDI. One question, will you be able to choose different colors for the editor tracks like you can in the regular version?

Yes, the colors can be chosen through the same drop-down menu color selectors in the current version.
