THIS IOS9 BS
THIS IOS9 BS
Ok so for the longest time I had this problem because I had the air 2 then finally after months the whole cpu issue finally stopped now because of ios9 back to square one I really only have positive stuff to say about auria but come on seems like the last year it's been non stop issues RIM I applyed to to be on the betta team please for a devoted music artist to your DAW can you fix this I'm sure it's the same cpu problem as before with the air 2 or can you please let me in on the beta team so I can get back to recording again
Re: THIS IOS9 BS
In our testing here there's no CPU issue with iOS9. Every time a new OS comes out, we do the same series of tests, and that old iOS CPU bug is definitely not back in iOS9 as far as we can tell. What kind of issues exactly are you having? Can you describe them in detail?

It is just like the last time if I'm recoding even a single track with my plug ins on a bus 1 pro q microwarmer retune the second I record I'm in the high 70s and then get booted out for high cpu
Re: THIS IOS9 BS
Yes, I was going to say It's never been smoother on my Air1, especially with pinch and zoom. Smooth as electric butter.

Re: THIS IOS9 BS
What you're experiencing is probably caused by the buffer size being too low while you're using effects. Auria likes to play back audio with a buffer size of 4096, but several things can cause Auria to use s much smaller buffer suite. For best CPU efficiency please make sure you do the following:
1. Make sure all other background apps are closed
2. Don't use Audiobus and make sure Audiobus mode is off in Auria's settings
3. Disable 64 bit mixer mode in Auria's settings.
4. Make sure you're not using any effects during recording. And make sure "disable effects during recording" is checked.

Re: THIS IOS9 BS
nope none of that after further testing its the retune plugin causing the CPU spike
Re: THIS IOS9 BS
nvm if i rec with the bus open no cpu spike with all plugins weird but works for now
Re: THIS IOS9 BS
Yes, it's very important not to use any plugins while recording (or while record enable is on). If you need to use plugins during recording, make sure to set your Record Latency setting to a high value (like 1024 or 2048). This will help CPU usage a lot. On newer iPads, this is much less of an issue.

That flipping "Retune"!!!
I've been trying to retrieve the email dialogue I and the developer had in 2013 (for @martygras) but unable to get the full correspondence downloaded.
Oh well..
