Although I'm patiently waiting, Rim, I'd like to chime in with a question (dare I say "request?")....
Will Auria's MIDI sequencer allow the use of external instruments (via Audiobus2 and IAA)? Other apps provide only built-in, chèésy-sounding instruments for use with MIDI. Basically, I'm asking for VST-like functionality.
Thanks very much for making a great product even greater!

I'm another that's been waiting for midi. It's been quite a long time coming. Perhaps adding midi has required the app to be re-coded from scratch or near enough. Definitely interested in the features and I'm hoping there's a drum sampler of sorts implemented.

I'm not ready to provide details, but it did require almost an entire rewrite of the editor code.
Yes, the new version will support instrument plugins, similar to the way it supports audio plugins now.

Rim, are we to expect it this year? Not holding you to a specific date, but a reasonable ETA would be appreciated by one and all.

Will it support virtual Midi? So that we can sequence external synths, Animoog, Sunrizer etc... I presume it will, because otherwise it won't much use

Definitely, it will have full MIDI support - virtual MIDI, coreMidi, IAA MIDI and native Auria plugin MIDI.

Wonderful to hear! I've invested in virtually everything Auria has to offer, so it's my preferred platform. Once it has MIDI sequencing and instrument capability, I think it's going to dominate iOS music production.

Can you at least say if there will be an internal MIDI controller? Like a keyboard with chord and arp functions, or a set of drum pads?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is what the delay is about, that you've come up with an innovative and highly functional touch screen MIDI controller. It's not that big of a reach you know.

I am not planning on having any controller inside Auria, since almost every instrument app already has a keyboard. I saw no reason to add another one within Auria.
