How would I go about adding addition bars to the very beginning of a track, in front of existing regions, or be able to paste a region to the very beginning, all without throwing off the tracks existing timing relative to the other recorded tracks? Actually I guess it would be proper to add the same amount of new bars to all existing tracks, even if just needing it on one track?
Thanks

No prob...
On region view, set the snap setting to 'bars'
Then, from the edit menu, select all.
Drag any one of the regions 1 bar later and they'll all move together.
Done!

...and to add bars to somewhere the middle of a song, go to the point you want to add bars with the time cursor, then use Split All. This splits all the tracks at that point. It also automatically selects all the regions after the split, making it easy to simply grab them in one operation and move them forward the number of bars you want.

An important addition which i think appeared somewhere in the forum will be an ability to select all regions right or left of play-head.
