My use for Auria is simple. I want to monitor my acoustic guitar that has a pickup. I use an EQ and reverb and send the output from the iPad to an amplifier.
This is done in a live environment, so the latency is set at 128 or 256.
I use an Apogee Jam to get my guitar into Auria.
Since I've upgraded to 1.06 using Auria, I can't monitor an input.
I went back to your basic "New User tutorial" in the manual.
Disconnected the Apogee Jam. Made sure the Record Monitor is ON! Arm the track.
I see input using the built-in mic on the channel strip but nothing on the pop-up Master Meter. I always have in the past. Hit record, made some noise and it recorded but I was unable to monitor myself before and during recording. No output until playback.
I don't use Auria for recording. It's strictly used as a preamp.
Now I've lost the ability to monitor my input.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've used this before and it has worked fine.
Until this is solved, is there a way to go back to an earlier version of Auria?
Thanks.
I'm using an iPad 2 32Gb.

Re: Is there a way to go back to an earlier version of Auria
I can (partly) replicate what you're experiencing, Keith, in that the Master meter does appear to be inactive when monitoring inputs. However, as long as Menu > Settings > Record Monitor is set to 'On', I do hear the input signal via the iPad's headphone jack.
I must admit that I've not yet tested this with an Apogee Jam but only with the iPad's internal mic.
iPad3 64GB / iOS 5.1.1 / Auria v1.06

Apple doesn't have a way to install earlier versions. I'll look into this. Sounds like a simple fix for the next update.

If you have earlier version of Auria in IPA file, just use iFunBox windows/MAC application and install through it. It works perfectly with bought apps.

Yes, that'll work if you happen to save your old IPA file before you updated Auria. But keep in mind that sometimes the project format changes in Auria. When it does, it's always backwards compatible, but never forwards-compatible. This means if you use 1.06, you won't be able to open any of the projects you created (or even loaded) if you downgrade to 1.05 or lower.
