The "Auria Wishlist Thread"
Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"
Unless I missed something in the manual, I would like to have the ability to preview audio files from DropBox prior to importing.
Regards,
Phil.

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"
Previewing audio files from dropbox is not feasible, because for WAV and AIF files, Auria would need to download the entire file first (could take 20-30 minutes for some files).

OMF is not feasible under iOS, unfortunately.

Importing audio files via Dropbox
First off, great app everybody!
I also use beatmaker 2 and did an export from that app to Dropbox. When I launch auria and try to import the files, the folder I saved them to shows up but no audio files. My question is this- will auria only import mono files, or do they have to be wav, or both?

In app vst to come
Hi, enjoying a lot auria !
Got a little devil question :
Have you any information to give us about other companies doing an ios version of their VST ?
I'd like to know if anything coming soon.
Other question : i can't find any review or anything about overloud thm in auria, has anyone a link or tested it to compare with others ?
I'm interested but i'd like to get some info before buying - it's not even listed on Overloud website !
Up to now only info i found is in AURIA USER GUIDE.

Re: Any midi planned?
Very exciting! So glad you guys didn't try to stuff it in too soon and ruin a nearly perfect app!Rim wrote:Most definitely. MIDI along with virtual instruments will appear in a future Auria version. I don't have any time estimate now, but we're working on it.
Thanks,
Rim

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"
Auria is fantastic and I'd love to see the following enhancements (with which I could dump my mac pro!)
1) Direct outs for OTB mixing/summing
2) MIDI + MIDI sync
3) High end algorithmic reverb

Re: Importing audio files via Dropbox
Auria will import any WAV , AIFF or MP3 file. It can be either mono or stereo.
There's an issue that i've already solved (will be in the next update) which deals with importing wav files from Beatmaker. Apparently the wav files that beatmaker generates have some extra data in between chunks that make it not quite follow the wav spec.
I'm not sure if that's the issue you're having, though, since you should still see the wav files listed.

SLow work flow??
Ok... maybe I am missing something. But I will need Auria to use a lot of looped material. I noticed that say i have a one bar loop I want to copy 20 times...it seems I have to actually select it 20 times and copy it 20 times. Is there a way to either enter the amount of times to copy (like typing 20 in and it does it for you).I am praying I have overlooked something because this would be a serious workflow killer (for me personally)
Re: SLow work flow??
There's no direct way to enter the number of times you want to paste a region (that's a good feature suggestion though), but you can do a couple of things:
1. Select a region, copy it, then press Duplicate several times. It will place each new region immediately after the first.
2. Select a region, use AudioCopy, then use AudioPaste (all within Auria). The audioPaste dialog has an option in it for the number of times to loop the paste. If you put 20 in the box, it will paste it 20 times.

Re: Any midi planned?
Some kind of midi sync would be nice. With that I could record audio from my sequencer/hardware combo in sync with audio from Auria.
For midi I already have the greatest midi sequencer ever created, Cakewalk Professional 3.0. It has high resolution midi editing. It's super easy to create, cut, copy, and paste, and having the .ini files for many sound modules and keyboards. If the folks who created Auria would like a peek at it let me know.
