Apparently yes the iPad is locked into channels 1/2. But from what I am reading on apple.com the iPad is capable of 5.1 sound when hooked up to hdmi. Some say it can even do the 7.1. Doesn't that mean it is capable of 6 or 8 streams? That would really solve some serious issues and allow auria to mak...
It works with the one i bought on ebay. I do not have a separate powered usb hub that would work with the apple cck but i am sure it would work with it. I did try a direct connection to the cck with no luck.
Good idea. Cool thing is my usb hub can power it. But I'll probably want to bring the power cord for the hub. Doubt the ipad has enough power to keep everything going.
so i realized that with this system this is very little latency if any. so why not use it as a live mixer. check out the video i have uploaded. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FN5-RSHSwJc pros: small set up, easy to transport up to 18 channels great eq and effects recording virtual sound checks music...
The presonus headphone jack get audio from channels 7/8. The iPad only send audio to 1/2. When you use the presonus software with the 1818 and the computer you can send channels 1/2 to channels 7/8. Or any channels you want 1/2, 3/4, 5/6. They actually have it defaulted so that all channels go to th...
I know you said that the headphones are hardwired to channels 7/8. Which I know as well. But when their software runs they have all channels feeding 7/8 including 1/2. I now the iPad only sends audio to channels 1/2. Do you think that with a firmware update inside the Vsl that the channels 1/2 could...
Dubhaus, with the akai eie are you limited to just the 4 inputs? It doesn't look like you can add any more. I love the look of the akai and it seems very functional.
Foster, Looks good. I thought I saw a message in one of your videos that popped up on your iPad, that says "This accessory is not compatible with your iPad". Does this message come up when using this hub? Rim Yes it does say that but all you do is hit ok and ignore it. I originally bought...
I have a few posts and videos here showing the hub that I am using that I got on eBay. It plugs directly into the 30 pin dock and requires no additional power. I have used it with my presonus 1818 and a digital mixer with adat and a spdif source and it worked for 18 tracks simultaneous no problems. ...
Digitprep look at my postings and videos I put up here and you'll find the hub that I am using. No power or apple cck needed. Just search for my posts under foster.
Ian I know this but I am trying to avoid having to use extra pieces of gear. And I am actually using one send to my mains and the other for subwoofer in my studio. I don't have any throughs with my mains or sub so I need both. Eventually
