writing midi by hand and let drumagog play the sound

Post by jessi »

Hello
I wanted to design my drum patterns by hand on a midi channel in Nuendo and then let play drumagog the sound. Is that possible in some way. I thought maybe a track per instrument. Midi Channel 1 would be the kick, midi channel 2 is the Snare etc. Of course every midi channel has the drumagog plugin as an insert.

Is that possible ?

thanks a lot for your help

Yes, it is possible to do that with either Drumagog Pro or Drumagog Platinum, since Drumagog Basic does not include any MIDI compatibility it wouldn't work for this application.

As Drumagog can only play one Gog file at a time, you will need a different instance of Drumagog for each part. Use whatever MIDI channels or notes you want, as long as what you are sending from the MIDI track matches the Channel and Note assignments in Drumagog's Advanced section. Set Drumagog's MIDI out to "Internal" and you should see Drumagog as an available output on your MIDI track(s).
