Fixed Latency version - No GUI in Nuendo 4.2.2

Post by neilwilkes »

Version 4.11
The one that links into BFD (Pro or Platinum, cannot remember)

Since the last update, the Fixed Latency version does not display a GUI in Nuendo 4.2.2. Is this a known issue?
The standard interface runs perfectly though.
Nuendo 5, 5.5 & 6 and Cubase 6,7 & 7.5 with WK-ID Controller.
Fully 64-bit Intel Xeon E5-2687W 8-Core CPU with 32GB Quad Channel RAM
Adam A7 x 5, RME RayDAT 1 into 2 RME ADI-8 DS, Tascam DA-88 to RME ADI-8.

Neil,

Steinberg released 4.2.2 a few days after the v4.11 update. We're running Nuendo 4.2.2, and Drumagog Fixed Latency v4.11 appears fine on both XP (SP2) and Vista (SP1).

From your previous posts, I assume you are a Windows user. If this is incorrect, let us know.

Platinum is the version that has BFD direct compatibility, not Pro.

This could be a result of a corrupt download or install gone awry. Perhaps redownloading and installing the update will resolve your issue.

Rim.

I will indeed try re-downloading & Re-Installing.
How should I proceed with this - I have been continually updating for a long time now, and perhaps it might be a good idea to completely uninstall & start again from a brand-new 4.11 "Vanilla" installation?
If I did this, would I need to reactivate again?

You are indeed correct on the OS - I am running XP Pro SP2 (Never have done the SP3 thing as I am not sure it's worth doing!)

Incidentally - many thanks for the update too. The triggering with BFD is working absolutely superbly.

Yes, you may want to do a full re-install, as it sounds like some files may have not updated successfully. After re-installing Drumagog will need to be re-unlocked, but check your CPU-ID and unlock code (if you hung on to it), as Drumagog may want the same code. Your CPU-ID might change, though, so if it is different just visit our automated unlock web page (http://www.drumagog.com/support.asp) to receive a new unlock code.

I'd suggest running the Drumagog uninstaller (should be in your Start Menu - Program Files - Drumagog) first, and then check your plugins folder (by default Program Files\Steinberg\VSTplugins) and make sure the actual Drumagog dll files are gone (if not, just manually delete them). Then run the "Full" installer for 4.11 (not the update) and see if you're back in business.
