BFD 2.0

Post by joey_capps »

On the FXpansion Forum, there is word that BFD 2.0 will be released mid-year, and that it will be "complete rewrite." Here is the link:

http://www.fxpansion.com/forum/viewtopi ... 39&start=0

I'm sure this has been taken into account in the development of Drumagog BFD and Plantinum. However, I'd like to be assured that if I upgrade to Drumagog Plantinum, I'll be able to upgrade to BFD 2.0 when it comes out.

Drumagog Platinum will continue to work with all future versions of BFD, including the upcoming BFD 2.0

I asked about Drumagog Plantinum! :P

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll be upgrading soon.

Bit of a let down ! although I'm sure it will be sorted soon(ish) as Rim is very good with customer loyalty and support (as are the FXpansion crew)
Here's hoping

Check out Rim's response here: http://www.drumagog.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=569

As well as SKoT's post from this thread: http://www.fxpansion.com/forum/viewtopi ... 815464c447
SKoT_FX wrote:Seems we have a bit of a miscommunication going on, for which I apologise.

* Drumagog-BFD interaction is solid; on multi-core machines running hosts with multiple audio processing threads, the FIXED LATENCY mode in drumagog / BFD works great. What we are trying to scheme up is a way of reducing that latency further.

* BFD2 has been a huge, huge project for FXpansion, and to finally deliver as we are now has had to mean a few things have had to be put off *temporarily*, for a *short while* to ensure the stability and completion of the core product. Please bear with us.

"Check out Rim's response..."

I saw that on the fxpansion.com forum.

To reiterate, I have NEVER had any problems with Drumagog (from day one) and DrumagogBFD - on a PC. I even, very occasionally, use Drumagog in Logic 5 on a Mac with OS9. ;-)

Looking forward to the next generation.
