My question is somewhat similar to the question re the Roland 2480.
I work with a Korg D32XD and have never worked with computer audio.
But Drumagog has got my attention. In contrast to the tips for the 2480 user, I don't want or need to come out of my adat outs to the computer.
I just want to export my drum tracks via usb and then just work on them with the simplest/cheapest .....maybe free? software I can use that will let me try out Drumagog.
I was thinking of downloading Protools Free (a free 8 track version for windows 98) and then trying & ultimately purchasing Drumagog if all goes well. Is this do-able? ..... any tips for what I'm looking to do? THANKS!

No problem - you can certainly use Drumagog this way, but unfortunately Pro Tools Free is no longer updated, and the latest version is 5.01, which is not compatible with Drumagog.
An inexpensive solution is Metro ($69). Here's the link: http://www.sagantech.biz/

here are a couple cheap Windows multi-track solutions (of course I don't know if they work with Drumagog, but they do support VST so in theory should work, right?).
