D5 Trigger Latency and Screen Freeze

Post by SoundScapeMusic »

Today I loaded up a session, Went to replace a kick drum.

-D5 was off big time as far as timing. Tried to adjust the sensitivity/resolution, no dice. Moved about every knob, still nothing. i had to set the track delay in Ableton to -50ms. Never had this issue with D4.

- Also, the screen that showed in realtime the sensitivity/resolution bummed out and froze after a few seconds of playback. Meters still showed audio being processed.

I havent a clue where to start, i literally moved every knob/slider on the UI and no dice. Any help would be great.

Hello,

I believe we just answered your email about this, but I'll paste in the response.

Drumagog 5 does have some latency, but Ableton's built-in latency compensation should be able to account for this. Just make sure that the latency compensation in Ableton is enabled.

As for the freezing, it could depend on how big your project is. Your system could be overloading. Does it only have on this current session? Or any project? You could be running low on CPU, memory, etc. What is your specific OSX on your mac?
