Roland VS2480

Post by drummerkev »

Hey everyone...How would I use Drumagog with a Roland VS2480 system? That is my main setup plus I have an Mbox with Pro Tools LE on my laptop. I am a drummer who records drums for other people and would like to take advantage of this great plug in. A studio owner/friend of mine uses this plug in with a full blown Pro Tools rig and it is truly awesome.....just curious before I take the plunge and purchase.....be well, Kev

Kev,
Drumagog needs a VST ot RTAS compatible host. AFAIK, that Roland box uses the proprietary "V" architecture.
You can install it on the PT LE system. You'll need PT 6.4 or higher..
( I think :?: )
Good luck
cheers

You can do this easily with your VS2480 using a program called Console Modular Studio (http://www.console.jp/eng/ )

Console basically hosts VST plugins for you. Then, just use the ADAT optical interface from your VS2480 to the computer running console.

There's a link on how to do this with an Akai DPS24:
