Hi All,
I'm having a problem with Protools crashing while looking through my sample library and "accidentally" selecting an aiff or sd2 file.
Drumagog gives me a resource fork type error message and then Protools hard crashes.
I have a ton of drum samples (WAV, AIFF, etc) that I like to look through while mixing.
Is there any way that Drumagog could just notify me that -the sample isn't compatible- without crashing the session?
Regardless, I had to reboot my system 3 times today due to this issue.
Hopefully I won't have to convert all of my samples to WAV in order to prevent this.
Thanks!

Re: Protools Crashing issue
Jamie,
The reason why Drumagog allows you to open these files is because AIFF and SD2 files are, in fact, compatible. The reason it is crashing is because your SD2 files are missing a resource fork (likely from when you transferred files from a previous system, like OS9). In the past, other folks have had luck with wonky SD2 files by using a Batch convert program to convert them from the OS9 SD2 to a more current OSX format.
Cheers,
Jack
