I think i need some Help!

Post by Jeff »

Okay, well ive had Drumagog 4.0 since it came out.

i still havent been able to use it the way i think im supposed to be using it.

for example...

one problem im having is.... say on the snare.. someone does a roll.. well it sounds like shit.. even if i have it lined up right and all.. it like spudders, and all. ive adjusted almost everything i could, and it still does this.. is there something im not doing right?!

this also happens when i have drummers that use double bass pedals.
it will spudder.. even if i have it lined up perfectly and all.

SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME ADVICE ON WHAT I CAN DO TO FIX THIS PROBLEM!!

i know drumagog is an excellent program. ive seen this on just snare hits and kicks.. but any rolls.. or double kicks.. it just doesnt sound right!! :?

thanks!

Jeff,

When you say "sputters", do you mean that Drumagog triggers more than once for a particular hit? If that's the case, try using "advanced triggering mode" along with auto-align. This combination tracks hits much better than "simple" mode. Another thing that improves the sound (especially with drum rolls) is by using a gog file which has plenty of random multisamples available. This guarantees that Drumagog will not repeat the same two or three sample again and again (making it sound tiring on the ears).
