Drumagog problem with Protools 7.0 LE

Post by Dtoxic911 »

Hi, I'm running Protools 7.0 LE on Windows & have Drumagog 410. After installing, I can see Drumagog in my plug-ins menu, but when I try to use it, the drumagog window opens, but the audio on the track stops. I've tried every sample, still nothing, theres not even any indication that theres any audio at all in the volume meter. When I bypass it, the audio works fine, but I just can't get the Drumagog to work at all! I've even tried the vcredist_86 fix, still nothing! Can you help me?

Hello,

Did you sucessfully unlock Drumagog? If you did the "demo/evaluation expired - click to unlock" message will disappear from the bottom of the Main tab. You can get an unlock code from visiting our support page at http://www.drumagog.com/support.asp with the CPUID that Drumagog currently displays.

If you have unlocked Drumagog, do you have the sensitivity bar set to trigger from the audio on the track? If the sensitivity bar is not set to detect any audio peaks, it will not trigger any samples.

I tried to access the advanced tab, which i'm assuming is where I'd put the unlock code in, but when I click on the advance tab, or the samples tab even, nothing happens. I can't access it!

If Drumagog is not unlocked, you will have difficulty switching between tabs.

The unlock code is entered into the window that appears when selecting the "demo/evaluation expired - click to unlock" message on the Main Tab. This is also where the CPUID appears.

Use this CPUID to generate an unlock code by visiting our support page. An unlock code will be emailed to you automatically. Enter this code back into Drumagog and select OK. A message will appear asking you to close Drumagog and the audio app. Do this, then reopen the audio app and Drumagog. If the "click to unlock" message disappears, the unlock process was successful.

Ok, I tried what you told me to do, got my code from the keygen, entered it, then shut down the Drumagog program and my Protools as I was prompted to do- still nothing! I still get the "Demo expired" on the screen & the program is still not working, its as if nothing changed at all!
This is maddening!! Please help!

This can be caused by 3 problems:

1. If you are installing the "update only" by mistake, instead of the full retail version, you'll have trouble unlocking. Make sure you're installing the retail version. You'll need a new unlock code from the support page (make sure you use the new CPUID that your Drumagog copy gives you.

2. The CPUID you're entering into the web page is off by a digit somewhere, or there's an extra space, etc. This must be entered very carefully. If it's off, the web page will e-mail you an incorrect unlock code. Try submitting the CPUID again.

3. When entering the unlock code in ProTools, use the numbers at the top of the keyboard as opposed to the numeric pad. ProTools assigns commands to the numeric pad that can interfere when entering codes.

Let me know how this goes.

Hey
I'm really new to Drumagog, and I am beginning to experiment recording. when i start using the drumagog plug in on liek more than 4 or 5 tracks, i get an error message tellign me taht it lost connection w/ the interface, increase teh buffer size, or use less plugins. i know there is no problem with teh interface. If i got more RAM, would it stop this problem? I just bought my Imac in march 07, and i am using PT LE 7.3.1

It sounds like you're using some very large samples in Drumagog, and the reason why each instance is taking so long might be because you have very large gog files set up to load in each instance. For example:

Drumagog on track 1: China Crash 3.gog
Drumagog on track 2: Huge gong cymbal.gog
...

I suggest creating a session with some smaller gog files, then save and reopen the session to see if it reduces the load times. Also, increasing memory (even though you already have 4GB) usually fixes this issue for others.
