Future Wish List

Post by Gavin H »

Hi There,
first off I want to say how much I'm enjoying using Drumagog. I've done lots of triggering sessions in Logic Pro and had some experience with "Sound Replacer" in Pro Tools....and Drumagog does it WAY better than both of those.
Might I suggest an ADSR envelope in a future release. It would help shorten longer samples and sometimes it sounds better when you can just temporarily trim off the front end of a sample, especially when you're blending it with a real drum.

Also it would be nice to have an easy way to hear the samples when you click on them. I couldn't find an easy way to do this in Logic on a G5 Mac.

Cheers

Thanks or the suggestion - yes this is already on the list (it's been suggested quite often). I agree, this will be a great feature.

As far as auditioning samples, it's usually a matter of pressing play on your editor's transport first (and looping a blank section of a track). Unfortunately there's no good way for a plugin to output audio to your speakers except through the track it's pluged into...

Yup... ADSR... that would be killer!

Lots of the GOG samples have hiss or static at the end which becomes astonishingly LOUD when you add a compressor. So the only way to get it out is to adjust ADSR. And no, adding a gate doesn't work because when in polyphnic mode the trigger before will continue over the next during fast parts.

It would be nice to have a "built in" sample editor to tweak the gog files, but better yet, I'd really like to be able to export the gogs... ...just my 2 cents.

Yes.... how do you edit the gog samples?

i.e., how would I bring the samples into WaveLab and add fades?

once the files are in drumagog i dont think its possable to trim them unless you record the sample to a track than trim it there and put it back into your gog folder.

it would kick ass to have a editor of some sort in drumagog itself.

A larger GUI would be nice...most text areas could be longer to display more info, ie the sample buttons, the midi out - port selection, etc.
I'm running on MAC so this may not apply to PC version
