New Supersonic Demo

Post by E »

Unusual (no vocals yet)

This is a brand new demo with my band ;) No vocals yet though. All drums are Supersonic replacements.

Sounds good!

This is a purely subjective mix observation... The kick sounds too loud and not enough snare and cymbals.

I only listened on a MacBook Pro, tho'.

I liked the guitars.

yea, I agree about the kick ...I'll probably take a bit off the attack before I finalize it. Thanks for listening.

Yeah, I am quite a newb when it comes to drumagog. I am trying to find some really good drum sounds for the EP i am working on, and your samples definitely tickled my ear.

even the cymbals were replaced?

How do you record them so that they trigger properly?

cymbals are live.

To trigger properly you really just need to play with the sensitivity and the group levels in Drumagog. If the original track has level issues due to poor drummer technique, raising the peaks in the actual waveform will go a long way.

Does that answer your question?

Hi Jeff, sorry for the late response.

snare:
10LHbz HT2

compressor: mild ratio & threshold, slow attack, slow release
eq: added a little at 200 and a little top
reverb: plate

I think I may have tuned it down slightly in Drumagog to work better in the tune.

kick
12GRm FBELMT1

eq: added a bit in the 6k area

bus compressed the entire drumkit for glue.
