Pro Tools 7.1 + Digi Rack 002 & Drumagog (Pc)

Post by Shaughn »

I Basically have started this topic to ask for any advise or tips regarding using Pro Tools LE 7.1 with a Digi Rack 002 on PC with drumagog.
Its a P4 3.2 Ghz intel, with 250 gig SATA audio, 80 Gig SATA C Drive, 2 gigs DDR 677 RAM.

I thought it would be best to try group all my queries under this heading as they will all be based on this.

So questions i have:

1. Why do i get the loud signal noise with Sneap samples?

2. Is it possible to eliminate my alesis Dm5 and use Drumagog instead? I read somewhere that this was possible and the Studio put the D-Drum triggers through Pre Amps and into drumagog...
How would i go abou setting that up on the track side of things.

3. Is there anywhere to obain samples of mainly Kick Drums, Snares, toms of famous bands?

4. What sample rate is best to use when using Drumagog. I usually record in 32 bit 96khz, then bounce to 44.1khz 16 bit for mixing.

And like i say any tips and advice would be appreciated. I have been using triggers and midi with my Alesis. But i much prefer working with audio waves and the drumagog
