MIDI routing?

Post by maverik »

i would like to be able to track the hits of my original acoustic drum track in drumagog, send them to a midi track so i can tinker with the velocity and articulation of each hit and fix any missed or double hits that occurred while tracking in drumagog, THEN route the midi notes back into drumagog so a perfect track plays back without having to mess with the threshold/detail settings in real time.

i know this is possible, but i've never routed midi from track to track before and i can't figure out how to do it. i downloaded MidiPipe but i'm not sure how it works within pro tools.

For a good tutorial on setting up MIDI Pipe, check out this older page on our website: http://d4.drumagog.com/owd.htm

It uses Pro Tools and Ocean Way Drums as the example, but can be applied to any individual setup.

The MIDI chapter of the Drumagog 5 User Guide goes into some additional detail, including how to setup Drumagog 5 as a MIDI instrument. It's available for download on our website: http://drumagog.com/support/downloads

well shoot. I was doing everything right but I hadn't selected the midipipe options in Setup. I'll try that tonight, thanks for the links.
