If you're hearing piano notes, it's possible that you have the Synth section turned on. Make sure this is set to "Off" first.

Nick, Are the spikes only occuring on certain samples? Just so you know, some of the bass drum samples in the free collection intentionally have clipping. Can you tell me which samples did this? Does it only occur at the peaks? Also, make sure your output control is set to 0dB and the synth section ...

Is it possible that you have "dynamic tracking" turned off on the main page? This causes Drumagog to use the first sample (which is sometimes the quietest one, causing more white noise).

That's right - either use the "dynamic tracking" control in the advanced tab, or uncheck "dynamic tracking" on the main page (one of the checkboxes).

Tim,

This is very unusual. No one has reported this before. What sample rate is your session? Also, are you on Mac or PC? What's your host and version? It's possible that the gog files you downloaded got somehow corrupted.

Sorry - I should have read the title of your post more carefully - I thought you were using Samplitude 8. Cool Edit does not support VST plugins at all, so it's not possible to use Drumagog directly with your program. Adobe Audition (starting with version 1.5) does support VST plugins, but Cool Edit...

While Drumagog is designed to be used on separate tracks (kick, snare, etc), it can be used on a stereo mix. Here's how to do it: 1. Make two copies of the track. 2. Put Drumagog on both copies. 3. Set the first Drumagog's trigger filter to "lowpass" 4. Set the second Drumagog's trigger fi...

Tim,

You only need one sample. Drumagog will automatically change the volume of that sample when it plays it to match the volume of the original hit. Polyphony is also automatically supported - you don't need more than one sample to do it.

Paul,

This was a problem with an early version of the 4.03 installer. We've fixed this issue. Please re-download the installer. It should ask you for a password this time.

Also, have you tried using advanced triggering mode? It's usually much better in terms of tracking. You may not need to make as many changes to the controls while using advanced mode. NOTE: make sure the slider in the advanced page is set to the middle for best results.

That's not true - Drumagog does not need to be unlocked before it shows up in the plugin list. There's another topic in this forum about installing Drumagog for use with Samplitude. Please have a look there.

Just a note on the controls in Drumagog - if you click a knob, then while holding down the mouse button, move the mouse far away from the knob (drawing big circles around the knob), you can get much better resolution for adjusting the knob. This is how they are designed to be used. Also, if you hold...

By the way, it's "Drumagog", not "Drummer Gog" - just a head's up;) After purchasing Drumagog, you have a choice of which version you want to download, Mac or PC - it all depends on what you're using. You can also download and use both if you like. Also, you can ignore the shippi...
