I think it's a problem with 10.6.2 / 9.1, Matt. I have 9.1 functioning just fine without Snow Leopard.

I find the best way is to audition samples while your playing the song... listen in context. Also, make sure you are triggering the hardest hits by manipulating the input knob in Dgog and/or change the gain on the wav. This way you are likely hearing the hits that SHOULD be triggering. Thanks! That sample in particular was a Gretsch Maple kick with a D6 about 6 inches inside the drum, of axis. There was also a 57 on the beater side which was phase corrected.
