Re: using drumagog live in a band

I don't play out in a live situation (I'm a bass plaer, not a drummer}... but I can successfully trigger Drumagog from an acoustic drum kit in real time, in my studio. I use the DDrum Acoustic Pro triggers on kick, snare and three toms. The delay is MINIMAL and usable (for basic beats and grooves). ...

Does this really work? I'm using DDrum triggers (on an acoustic drumkit) into a mixer (digital) to an RME Digiface (via light pipe) to FL Studio hosting Drumagog routed to BFD2 back out through the RME Digiface into the mixer for monitoring -- and can play live replaced drums. No, I am not a fancy ...

But... I am using the hihats in BFD2.

I just found out that V-Stack does not allow Audio In. So, it will NOT work. I have been playing around with FL Studio (demo) to ONLY host VSTs. It does have the ability to allow Audio In. I have successfully sent recorded drums' audio, from my Pro Tools computer, to my PC running FL Studio with Dru...

Any V-Stack users?

I am wondering if V-Stack allows audio in so that several instances of Drumagog can be loaded and then directed to BFD2.

Can't find much info on V-Stack.

I've had the same problem with Cubase (old version 5 on a PC).

However... if use an external MIDI source - a MIDI track from a second computer - to play Drumagog as a sample player, I don't have any problems.

That's been my work around.

YES!!! I stumbled onto it a few minutes after upgrading to 2.04. I sent dd drum triggers (on my three toms) directly into Drumagog to BFD2. Seemed work GREAT, as I only had a few minutes to 'play around' with it. A little more work on naming the instruments; as now you can select from four different...

Drumagog plays BFD 2.04?

The latest update of BFD 2 (v. 2.04) allows Drumagog to directly connect.

At least my version does.

:D

You can build something like with a dedicated computer, MIDI/sound cards, etc. I sort of have rig like that now: A PC with an RME Digiface. Drumset with mics and triggers. The mics are sent in via light pipe to the RME card (audio) as well as the triggers via an SPD-11 and TMC-6 (MIDI). For sounds I...

"s the MIDI output fully functional in the demo?" I don't know. I use Drumagog on a PC running Cubase. The MIDI 'cabling' is very easy with that set up. I do use the MIDI out to play BFD2 (as direct connection isn't available yet). I have heard that you may need other software is you are ...

Very good library with Drumagog. You'll have MANY sounds to choose from. Be aware that you will need the version of Drumagog that'll interface with BFD, if you go that route. At this point in time, only BFD 1.5 works with Drumagog. You may not be able to find a version of BFD 1.5 easily. BFD 2 will ...

Absolutely.

Make sure you get the version of Drumagog that has MIDI In/Out capability.

By the way, Drumagog will DIRECTLY interface with BFD 1.5 (and soon BFD 2). You can bypass the MIDI routine - it's so much better!

Find the Drumagog version that you will need

I too am interested in this library.

You say that they are mixing well with the rest of the track.

Are you modifying the original sounds much?

I use mostly BFD samples and do very little to change the original sounds - just a touch of EQ.

Sorry for the delay in responding... Here's how I do it: The EASIEST way it have Drumagog Platinum (or DrumagogBFD) and Drumagog 1 (or preferably 1.5). If you do have both of these, simply insert Drumagog Platinum in an audio track, and in the drop-down window (where you select GOGs) you select <BFD...
