ok everybody, how to trigger snare rolls, the fast, easy way.

we all have came across the problem that once you dial drumagog in and get the snare triggering to perfection, once a snare roll is played (espically a fast one and even more so in metal/death metal drumming styles) drumagog wont trigger it (and for obvious reasons). well im here to tell you my meth...

id say yes and no. there are enough in there to get you started, but the ones you can purchase blow the included ones away.

If you are using Cubase or Nuendo, you would just: 1. Create a stereo track 2. Drag the audio from the snare track to the new stereo track 3. Insert Drumagog on the stereo track. This assumes that the snare gogs you are using are stereo. All of the snare gogs on Rock Drums 2 and 3 are stereo and mo...

i usually keep it at 50. seems to work well.

tip for anyone triggering a snare

ditch the sm57 and get an audix i-5. the hi-hat rejection is just crazy. makes life much easier for those who dont use redshots, plus the mic sounds great on snare and great on heavy distorted guitar.

that is awesome! very innovative. i bet it looks funny with all those on stands around the kit.

what types of problems were you having with the triggers? what triggers were you using?

i am using the ddrum pros and they work great. (the music style i record is deathmetal and hardcore)

i use the redshot pro triggers. dont waste your cash on the cheap ones with the 1/4 inch jacks.

you can run them into a mic pre on your interface. i do it all the time for the entire kit.

i also do 100% kick replacement so i just put a sm57 in the kick for reference on playback.
