Hey All, I've spotted Steven Slate Drums in Recording Magazine issue April 08 on page 46. The artical talks about getting good drum sounds and totally recomends Steven Slate Drums and talks about being the best drum sample library out there. Check it out at your local news stands.

If you bought the Steven Slate 2.0, then you have the cymbols and HiHat wav samples. As far as the Kontakt files, you could use them if you use Kontakt as your sampler to trigger the samples. Anybody see this youtube drumagog video someone made It's SOOO FUNNY!! This guy plays his cardboard drumset all mic'ed up and then triggers drumagog in real time! He's getting a great sound from cardboard boxes.

Don't know for sure, but maybe it's an audio card issue. What kind of audio files are they ...16 bit, 24 bit, 32 bit? I use Steven Slate Drum Samples and it's easy to get a great drum sound in seconds. The Problem I have with the Steven Slate Drum Samples is that THEY ALL SOUND FREAKING GOOD!
